Disney's 'Aladdin,' CA.(THEME PARKS).

Disney Entertainment Productions is casting Aladdin-A Musical Spectacular, a Broadway-style theatrical production. Francesca Zambello, original dir.; Lynne Taylor-Corbett, original choreo.; Lisa Borio, talent casting & booking. Performs in the state-of-the-art indoor 2000-seat Hyperion Theater at Disney's California Adventure park in CA.

Seeking--Alladin: 18-22, 5'7"-5'11", good physique, good-looking, filled with teenage charm and appeal, great charisma, clever, survives on the streets of Agrabah, baritone/tenor with a youthful sound; Jasmine: 18-22, 5'2"-5'6", beautiful, exotic, independent, feisty princess, desperately longs to experience life beyond the castle walls, soprano with strong mix, classic Disney princess sound; Genie: 26-40s, charismatic and full of energy, great celebrity impressionist, quickly transforms from character to character, genuinely pained by his lack of freedom, especially seeking actors with extensive improv and/or standup comedy background, must be able to carry a tune; Jafar: 35-55, 6'0"+, commanding and menacing presence, great classical actor, the ultimate Disney villain, lusts for power, desires Jasmine, classical training, opera, and/or operetta background a plus, bass/baritone with deep rich voice; Sultan/Narrator: 50+, performs both roles, great actor, Narrator, has mysterious and engaging presence, must connect well with an audience, Sultan, kind and benevolent man, with great love for his daughter Jasmine, baritone/tenor; Chorus Singers: male and female, to understudy principal/featured roles, strong contemporary musical theatre vocal technique, strong acting and movement skills. Note: All performers must be 18+; seeking performers with a strong ethnic look to portray citizens of the mythical Arabian town of Agrabah.

Auditions will be held July 29 at 10 a.m. at Chelsea Studios, I51 W. 26th St. (btwn. Sixth & Seventh aves.), NYC Sign-in begins at 9:30 a.m. Callbacks will be held July 31. Prepare 16 bars of a contemporary, musical theatre selection showing vocal versatility and range. You may sing from the show. Bring sheet music in your key; an accompanist will be provided.
