JAMMU, Apr 23: Directorate of Health department, Jammu today claimed to have sealed five Nursing Homes being illegally run in Jammu city.
Official reports said that Directorate of Health department team under the supervision of Dr. Ashok Sharma, Deputy Director Health Services, Jammu, today conducted raids and sealed Vinny Nursing Home Janipur, Jammu Point Nursing Home Canal Road, Jeevan Dhara Nursing Home Trikuta Nagar, Life Scan Nursing Home Gandhi Nagar and Maa-Ki-Kamna Nursing Home, Gandhi Nagar.
Reports further said that these Nursing Homes have been sealed on the orders of court as these were being illegally run by the owners in Jammu. Even state government had given them the extension period of one month but these Nursing Homes failed to fulfill the legal formalities.
Court has directed all the illegal Nursing Homes to fulfill the legal formalities with in time period of one year which was from January, 29th, 2009 to January, 29th, 2010 but they failed to fulfill the formalities.
A deputation of these Nursing Home owners met the state government for extension period which they got but after that they could not fulfill the formalities.
A senior police officer said that these Nursing Homes were being illegally run by the owners and they were playing with the lives of innocent people.
