The death toll due to swine flu virus is not just limited to bigger cities. With one more death in Barmer on Saturday, the total number of casualty went up to seven in the town. With this, the total number of deaths in Rajasthan touched 110.
So far in Barmer, 18 people tested positive for the flu. The mortality rate due to H1N1 in Barmer is more than 35%, which is alarming and also signifies the lack of medical attention the patients are receiving in hospitals.
Also on Saturday, 52 people tested positive for swine flu in different parts of the state. In Jaipur, the district administration is carrying out screening of the people and 23 people were detected of swine flu on Saturday. So far 1,539 people tested positive for the disease in Jaipur, which is the largest number in the entire state.
In Jodhpur, nine more positive cases due to swine flu were detected on Saturday.
So far, 433 people tested positive for H1N1 in Jodhpur and 30 people have already died in the city, which is the highest in the state. In Kota, nine more people tested positive. In the entire state, 2,676 people tested positive for swine flu.
