The annual Jewish Book & Arts Fair begins today and runs through Nov. 15. Held by the Jewish Community Center of Houston, the fair brings prominent and emerging writers in literature, philosophy, arts, theology, history, women's issues and current events. This year's authors include Dan Senor (Start-Up Nation: The Story of Israel's Economic Miracle); former Houstonian Sam Apple (American Parent: My Strange and Surprising Adventures in Modern Babyland); Lev Raphael (My Germany); Baylor College of Medicine neuroscientist David Eagleman (SUM: Forty Tales from the Afterlives), and many others.
